What is included in my tuition?

The tuition for our Broker Post-Licensing course includes an exclusive HPW Real Estate School workbook. The textbook, the North Carolina Real Estate Manual, is not included in the tuition. Students will be required to purchase the North Carolina Real Estate Manual at a cost of $55. This text is used for all three Post-Licensing courses. Textbooks may be purchased at the HPW Real Estate School.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring the pocket card issued to you by the NCREC with you to check-in before class. In class, you will need to have the North Carolina Real Estate Manual, paper, pens/pencils and highlighters for taking notes. If you do not have the North Carolina Real Estate Manual, you can purchase it before class at the HPW Real Estate School.

As stated by the NCREC, the annual license renewal pocket card issued by the Commission to each licensee shall be retained by the licensee as evidence of licensure. Each licensee shall carry his or her pocket card on his or her person at all times while engaging in real estate brokerage and shall produce the card as proof of licensure whenever requested.

What is the attendance policy?

You are required to attend at least 80% of the class that you select, meaning that you can miss up to 6 hours of class. Though you can ask your instructor for the information that you missed during an absence, you are not able to make up hours in another course.

N. C. Real Estate Commission rule 21 NCAC 58C .0302: A school shall not knowingly enroll an individual in a post-licensing course while the individual is taking another post-licensing course at the same school or a different school if such enrollment would result in the individual being in class for more than 21 classroom hours in any given seven-day period.

What requirements must I satisfy to pass the course?

To pass the class, you must attend at least 80% of the class, which means that you cannot miss more than 6 hours of the class. You also must pass the class test that is administered on the last day of class by scoring at least a 75%. At the HPW Real Estate School, we grade your test upon completion so that you know your score immediately. When you pass, you will walk out with your Certificate of Completion in-hand. We report the completion to the NCREC and you keep the certificate for your records.

When is course completion reported to the NCREC?

Upon successfully passing the class test, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for your records. The HPW Real Estate School will report the course completion to the NCREC within 7 days. You do not need to take any action to report the completion to the NCREC.

What if I am unable to complete the course?

If the school receives written notice of the your intent to withdraw from a course at least one week prior to the scheduled beginning date of the course for which enrolled, all money deposited with the School will be returned in full, provided that any materials issued are returned unused.

There shall be no refunds of student fees or materials after you start the class.

All class exams must be taken within 30 days of the last scheduled day of the class.
